Since joining ROI Corporation in 2016, Nicholas Boyle has travelled throughout Canada and met with hundreds of dental practitioners.  An integral member of ROI Corporation’s appraisal team, Nicholas has spent countless hours interviewing doctors, appraising practices, and cultivating a nuanced understanding of the factors that create a thriving dental business.

Nicholas has a profound passion for the dynamic dental industry. As a licensed sales representative under the Real Estate and Business Broker’s Act, he consistently pursues professional development through ongoing education courses accredited by the Real Estate Council of Ontario.

  • I have dealt with multiple practice brokers in the past. This practice was my baby, a few years after purchasing I decided to relocate it. I arranged to buy the multi-unit commercial building across the street, completely designed the space myself, oversaw the entire construction process for the new location, assembled and installed a large portion of the cabinetry myself, moved everything, setup all the equipment and networking myself. When it came time to turn my pride and joy over to a new owner I chose ROI Corp, specifically Nicholas Boyle and his teammate Robert McDonald. I had no interest in using anyone else, I had used them in the past as a buyer and had developed a trust that they would help me to make sure that I could exit ownership on my terms and have this stressful process well managed. As a dedicated micromanager I have a hard time trusting people to do a good job. During the appraisal process I specifically recall going for what seemed to be a short walk while Nicholas itemized everything in the office. When I got back he was done and I thought to myself there is no way that he possibly could have done an accurate job in that amount of time. When the appraisal came back I went through it with a fine toothed comb looking for things that were missed and was completely floored at the accuracy of the itemization. These people do this all the time, are incredibly efficient and know what they are doing. They treated me as a person, not as a paycheque, I remember Robert reaching out and offering to connect me with one of his family members for support as the emotional weight between the appraisal and finally deciding to list the practice for sale was taking its toll. Selling your life’s work is an emotional roller coaster. They helped me through all the emotions and the logistics and I could not be happier with the process and the end result. When I talk to people who are looking to sell their practice the first thing they ask about is commission. I will say that anything that I paid to ROI Corp was well worth it, we had multiple offers, the practice went well above appraised value, but more importantly they helped to guide me through the process and make sure that all parties stayed on track.
